More Canopy Frame

Several people have reminded me lately how much I suck at keeping this site updated.  I have to admit it’s true, sometimes.  Despite this, I have been making some progress on the plane.

C-613 splice plates. Drill highlighted holes in assembly with the C-702. I learned the hard way, if you pre-drill them all (per the plans) you end up with one hole very close to another. My replacements were made from Aircraft Spruce part 03-48700.

The bottom edge of the angle at the aft end of the WD-725 needed to be filed so that it would sit flush against the F-631A

Gap between the two F-631A.

The gap between the two F-631A's was caused by the F-631A sitting too low in relation to the WD-725, as shown here. Raising each side up a little, as shown on drawing 48, view D-D, fixed this. Thanks to Joe Blank at Van's for pointing this out!
